COVID-19 Booster Vaccination – Adapted Vaccine

The Winter 2024 COVID Booster Campaign will commence in early October.

Vaccine in use:

• Pfizer Comirnaty Omicron XBB.1.5 Vaccine
  • Can only be used for Booster doses not Primary Course

Please carefully read the eligibility criteria below before booking.

• Winter 2024 Booster Dose is only available to the following groups: (must be at least 180 days since last COVID vaccine dose or positive COVID test)
  • Those 60 years of age and over
  • Those aged 12-69 with an immunocompromising condition associated with a suboptimal response to vaccination
  • Those aged 12-69 with medical conditions associated with a higher risk of COVID-19 hospitalisation, severe disease or death
  • Those aged 18-59 years living in long term care facilities for older adults
  • Health and care workers
  • For pregnant adolescents and adults, a COVID-19 vaccine once in pregnancy is recommended if it is more than six months since their previous COVID-19 vaccine or infection.
    • COVID-19 vaccine can be given at any stage in pregnancy, ideally given between 20-34 weeks’ gestation.

Please note that is essential that you arrive on time for your appointment. Failure to do so may cause you to miss your vaccination.
